Before you set off for Sinsheim, you can plan a short stop in the small animal park Bad Schönborn – this is about 850 m from the WellMobilPark Bad Schönborn.
On the direct route to Sinsheim via the federal road B292
You drive from WellMobilPark Bad Schönborn on the B292 signposted in the direction of Sinsheim / Angelbachtal / Öhringen. Follow the federal road for 8 km (through Östringen). In Angelbachtal-Michelfeld take the first exit at the roundabout at the Sparkasse (on Schloßstraße).
After 400 m, turn onto Schulstrasse, which you follow to the “Karlstrasse” intersection. Turn left onto Karlstrasse, after 2.4 km turn right onto the B39 / B292 signs towards Mosbach / Sinsheim and follow the course of the road for 3 km. Then turn right (on the L533 signs to Heilbronn / B39 / Sinsheim) at the roundabout take the 2nd exit.
Drive on Dührener Straße and turn right at the intersection into Hauptstraße.
After about 500 m keep to the right and drive into Friedrichstrasse, there take the second entrance into swimming pool path. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and then go straight towards the entrance to the mobile home park. The RV park is signposted within Sinsheim.
We continue along the Neckar on the B37 to Neckargemünd (distance approx. 14 km).
Neckargemünd is a popular destination due to its tour of the old town, the 800-year-old ruins of Dilsberg Castle with its underground tunnel and the numerous cycling and hiking trails.
The next stop is Neckarsteinach, approx. 9 km away – the so-called “Vierburgenstadt”. Take a hike along the “Neckarsteig” long-distance hiking trail to the four castles (Vorderburg, Mittelburg, ruins of the Hinterburg and Schadeck Castle). Along the Neckar (B45) you will reach the town of Eberbach in the Odenwald (distance approx. 17 km).
You can visit the following sights: Ruins of “Eberbach Castle” with a wonderful view of the Neckar Valley, historic old town with city wall and the four corner towers Powder Tower, Haspelturm, Rose Tower and Blauer Hut, medieval bath house as well as the city museum and cooperage museum.
We continue on the B37 along the Neckar to Mosbach, approx. 27 km away.
Mosbach is a former Palatinate residence with splendid half-timbered houses, a simulant church, a city museum and a former palace Palatine. There are also numerous hiking and biking trails in the Odenwald or along the Neckar.
From Mosbach the route continues to Neckarbischofsheim via Haßmersheim and Gundelsheim with Hotel-Restaurant Burg Hornberg, Teutonic Order Castle Horneck and Castle Guttenberg. Hornberg Castle is the oldest castle in the Neckar Valley and has a panorama restaurant. The Horneck Teutonic Order Castle is the seat of the Transylvanian Cultural Center. At Guttenberg Castle, flight demonstrations by the German Greifwarte take place twice a day, and you can also visit the award-winning castle museum “Life on the Knight’s Castle” and the keep with a viewing platform.
