From Lower Saxony to the Lake Constance Region | Stage 2

Welcome to a breathtaking journey through central and southwestern Germany!
The second stage of your journey stretches from Sinsheim to Lake Constance, passing through picturesque towns and the Black Forest, and takes you to the Lake Constance region, ending at the Gitzenweilerhof camping park.

You will cross the Neckar River, pass historic castles and explore charming towns like Schwäbisch Hall and Stuttgart. Continue to the Black Forest, known for its breathtaking nature and hiking trails. The route also leads near the famous Europapark in Rust. Finally, you will reach the Lake Constance region with its magnificent views and have the opportunity to visit various museums. The trip ends at the idyllic Gitzenweilerhof camping park on Lake Constance.

The second stage of this tour takes you from Sinsheim via the picturesque Schlierbach-Kohlrain to Guttenberg, where you can admire the impressive castle of the same name. You will then continue your journey and cross the majestic Neckar River as you pass Heuchlingen Castle on the Jagst River and finally reach the Motorhome Park HeiCamp Öhringen your first stopover. Here you can relax wonderfully, because Öhringen is home to the first climate-neutral mobile home park. A bicycle tour through the city is a good idea due to the proximity of the RV park to the city center and allows you to explore the charming corners of Öhringen.

After a rested night, you will continue your journey and first drive a short distance on the highway to Westernach, then continue on country roads in the direction of Schwäbisch Hall. This beautiful town not only invites you to stroll around, but also offers the opportunity to explore the imposing Großcomburg. From Schwäbisch Hall, your route takes you further into Swabia until you finally reach Schwaben Park. Here you can spend your time in a relaxed way, while young fellow travelers have fun in the amusement park.

You will then continue on the B29 to Stuttgart. As the second largest city on your long tour, Stuttgart offers a variety of attractions. An absolute highlight for all car fans is the Mercedes-Benz Museum, which is definitely worth a visit. After you have explored this place, your navigation system will guide you through Stuttgart to the Heslacher Waterfalls. This natural beauty is worth a short stop to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and the sound of the water.

From there you continue your journey again on country roads in the direction of the Black Forest to make your next stop at the vacation paradise Schwarzwälder Hof in Seelbach. to reach. If you are planning a longer stay in the Black Forest, I recommend a hike to Hohengeroldseck Castle, which offers a breathtaking view.

Just a short distance away you will find two more great sites: the Motorhome Park Kenzingen and the campground Ringsheim. Both are distinguished not only by their excellent facilities, but also by their proximity to the best amusement park in the world, the Europapark in Rust, which has held this title for the eighth time in a row. With a size of 95 hectares, this park is almost impossible to explore in one day. So take plenty of time to enjoy the numerous attractions and rides.

After your stay in Kenzingen and/or Ringsheim you will set off for your last long stage. The route leads almost exclusively along picturesque country roads to Freiburg im Breisgau and on to the Swiss border. The breathtaking view will surely take your breath away as you drive along the entire coast of Lake Constance.

Near Uhldingen-Mühlhofen, the Auto & Tractor Museum awaits you, a worthwhile stopover for all car fans. Afterwards, you will continue your journey to Friedrichshafen, where you will have the opportunity to visit the Zeppelin Museum or even fly in a zeppelin yourself if you are looking for adventure.

Your journey comes to an end when you cross the suspension bridge over the Argen and finally, after a long drive, reach the Camping Park Gitzenweilerhofreach. This campground offers a great end to your trip and plenty of activities nearby, so you’ll never be bored while you finish your trip on beautiful Lake Constance.
