Since 1990, the Geraer Höhlerfest (Gera Cave Festival) has been creating a great atmosphere around the market and in Gera’s city center every autumn. The colorful hustle and bustle in the historic old town offers something for everyone, from a medieval spectacle to an extensive program of events. The highlight is the awarding of the historic beer bar, once a symbol of the right to serve beer, to Gera’s most hospitable pubs.
